Hi, I have a question about using Phoca Gallery in articles. I'm building a site which is supposed to have a news section, and the articles are supposed to have text and the photos below the text. The problem I have is how to upload and organize the photos. It seems pretty silly to create a new category for every article, but also it's pretty tedious to put all photos in one category, since it's frquently updated site and there will be a lot of photos, so every time I have to add a gallery, I'd have to select only the photos needed for the specific article.
The best thing would be like this - to have one category in which all photos are stored, and then when adding an article, simply click the addphotos plugin and upload the photos from local storage, and they're automatically shown inside article and placed in that one unique category on the server.
Can that be done somehow? Basically, combine all the steps of uploading and adding the images to the article in one single step.

Hi, you can use Multiple Add function and load and add all images into one category in Phoca Gallery. Then with help of Phoca Gallery Button plugin you can select the images and add them to article.
But depends on you if you want to navigate in the popup window of images with pagination or with categories.
If you will add images to different categories you can navigate by categories, if not, then you need to use pagination for all the images in one category.

I could do that, but after a while it becomes quite tedeous - the category grows in number of pictures quite rapidly and it becomes very hard to choose the right ones among hundreds of pics.
I suppose this could be an idea for a new feature - ability to select pictures from the hard drive, assign them to a category, and when you click "upload", the plugin automatically adds them to the article and puts them in the proper category. Nothing complex, just automatizing the step of selecting the pictures.
This could be just a rework of the current content plugin?

Hi, I think not, for this you need some specific functions on server (like cron), etc. which will automatically covert the images to thumbnails, etc.
