share album and acl rule

Post by french150 »

Hello. I need to know if it is possible to do it with your photogallery:
1) users that upload photos in a specific album and protect it with password;
2) alternativity to first point, possibility to create album and share photos album only with a specific users;
3) album creator can allow authorized users to download the pictures;
4) acl rule so admin can set which joomla user level (registered, author, publisher...) or user group can create album;
5) integration with amazon s3 bucket.
Please let me know, thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I wish explain better my idea. I wish that some photographers user (level author) can upload photos to a specific gallery and during this operation he can choose (on front end) who users(s) (like registered) can see the photos present in this album; in this way the photographer can "deliver" the photos to his costumer. For this i wish that user can download the pictures. I mean something like flickr website but with photographers that works with their costumers and not only every user can create his album. Also i'd like that user, who received album from photographer, can give a passpartout or password to his friends or relatives to share with them the pictures. Can you help me?

It would be enough allow Access User rights to download photos. By the way if i use simplycaddy integration users that create album on frontend can set price and sell the photos to other users that have access right to see them and after purchase users can download the photos, right?
Thanks

Hi,

then in such case there should be two or more levels of permissions - one for administrator of the site to check the users in frontend, and then one for users frontend to check other users ... I think this will be difficult and can very slow down e.g. loading of images on the site - because of checking the rights and different combinations of the rights :-(
By the way if i use simplycaddy integration users that create album on frontend can set price and sell the photos to other users that have access right to see them and after purchase users can download the photos, right?
If Simplecaddy is used, mostly there must be other method to download images (e.g. with help of phoca download or per email)

Ok. By the way ir would be a great addon that help many users. Your component should be more complete. Strongly i hope that you will consider this features on front end above all allow to creator gallery these options:

# Access User rights - specify the user(s) (registered user) who can see the images in selected category
# Upload and Add User Rights - specify the user(s) (registered user) who can upload and add images into a selected category. If you set this right for an user, he will be able to see an upload form in the selected category. This upload form contains image file field, but image name and image description fields can be enabled too (In Parameters Component or Phoca Gallery's Global Configuration).
# Delete and Publish User Rights - specify the user(s) (registered user) who can delete and publish or unpublish images in selected category

Best regards
