I read all the issues with SEF on.but still the same problem

I read all the issues with SEF on in joomla with Phoca download.
I created a menu Item for my Sections and even all the categories. but still have problem.
when I turf off SEF option, it works fine.

whats is the matter with these Phoca Download 1.3.7?!
I already Upgrade from 1.3.6 to 1.3.7
I had the same problem with 1.3.6 but since I creat a Menu Item for my sections and categories it worked fine.
but in 1.3.7 .............

I really wonder because after clicking in category, it goes to Yahoo search!

Hi, there were no changes regarding SEF.

Phoca Download does not care about SEF. All the links in Phoca Download are "stored" in Joomla!'s JRoute method. JRoute method translate all the links to SEF.

SEF in Joomla! depends on menu link. So menu link identifies itself by ID which is called Itemid ... modules e.g. do not have Itemids so they need to find some and if they find some they use this itemid (taken from some of menu link)

First of all , thank you for responding this post and for all efforts you have done for us.
I know what you mean. I read both link you gave to me for guide.
there are 3 option for SEO in joomla.
the second one need MOD_REWRITE support.
I enabled the second and third option, and I have no problem at all. but when I enable the firs(SEF) option, none of my link not working.
Is it related to MOD_REWRITE or host problem or something else?

Hi, the second is related to mod_rewrite: Use Apache mod_rewrite, so if you enable only the first, the sef is working with index.php included and it is only Joomla! issue not server issue (in case it does not work).

But really no idea what can be wrong, all Phoca Demo sites are running SEF (with mod_rewrite) without any problem
