Im a complete newbie when it comes Phoca and webdesign CMS and stuff in general, thats for the intro.
I have been trying for some time now (including reading the documentation and going trough the forums), its 3:30 am right now, to do the following: 1 remove the category icon from a gallery. and place a different gallery in some articles.
So Please could somebody explain it to me in very simple steps as how to accomplish this 2 things and i will be very grateful for any help you could provide.
Thank you.

#1) In Phoca Gallery Control Panel, in the top right hand corner click on parameters. The first few settings are category settings. Maybe this helps?
#2) In the menu at the top of this page, click on plugins. download and install and publish the gallery, button, and slideshow plugins. After these are installed and published, create new article. At the bottom of your editor you'll see a phoca gallery button. Click on it!

Re: dont eat me alive :D
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
for the first question i had to change the number of visible columns to 0. (first setting actually in the params) for a reason i was thinking this will just disable it as this wasn't written anywhere.
for the second question you are my hero
as this also wasn't written anywhere.
on a side note i suppose there are a lot of people struggling with those same issues, and i assume that if it wasn't for you i would just uninstal phoca, as they probably do beacause the documentation even if its appealing to "pros" doesn't handle such simple issues as those mentioned before.
once again thank you fairwea1.
