Hi,

I'm new to Phoca Download and am curious about the "Filter" box which is located on the "Upload File" page.

What exactly does this do? How/When do I use this?

Hi, Filter mostly filters the list of files, if there are a lot of files, you can filter them.

It is for filtering only recently uploaded files then... correct?

yes, it depends on where the filter is set, if in categories view (admin) then it filters categories, etc.
