Hi,
when I use the preview button next to the .pdf file, everything works ok, but only until I press the "x" button and try to escape the preview.
Suddenly firefox crashes. I have the newest version of firefox and there isn`t any problem in IE.
Have you seen any similar problem yet?

Re: Preview causes firefox crash
I encountered the same problem. I came on this forum to see if I was the only person having this problem. I'm running Firefox 3.6.11. When I uploaded a preview version of the pdf (which was basically the same file just listed in the preview section) I could preview the file, but when I would close the window, the screen would still stay dark and Firefox would crash. I have just been tinkering with Phoca Downloads so I haven't tried to see if it occurs with other file formats. I originally installed Phoca Downloads for the purpose of posting PDF files for my clients.

Re: Preview causes firefox crash
Hi, seems like there is some bug in Firefox, I am trying to test it with chrome, ie, safari, opera and get no such problem, seems like some conflict between - Browser, PDF plugin for browser, (maybe modal box)

Re: Preview causes firefox crash
Right now I just have this PDF file as a "test" for me to set up the system. I'm setting up the system so just my clients will be able to view their specific file.
I can make a fake client file that you could test publicly if you'd like. Have you been able to reproduce the crash at least with firefox?
I am open to helping you in anyway I can.

Hi, yes, I get the same problem with firefox but it is not a problem of pdf document itself, this is a problem of browser x pdf plugin x (maybe OS) x (maybe modal box)

Well I'm glad you are able to at least reproduce the error. This means I'm not doing something wrong
If I can be of any further help, please let me know.

Ok, but for now I think we can only send this kind of error to mozilla developers (maybe they will know something more)

Re: Preview causes firefox crash
Thank you for testing the issue Jan. As you cas see, it is too big problem, that causes very annoying crash. In this case, the preview is unusable. I hope that firefox developers will find a solution.
Thank you.
Thank you.
