category display problem

Hi. I have read the manual, but can't find the answer to my problem.

I am designing an artist site and need to display one image for each artist with a link to their portfolio. In the module, I have selected all the categories in the Category ID box, but it just shows all the images from the categories. I then tried to set it to one, but of course it only showed one image in total and no others from the categories.

The menu is set to display all categories. Help please!

Sorry. I have 10 categories (each one is an individual artist) I want a visitor to click on "online Gallery" and then the page to open up with a thumbnail and link to each artist.

I can't seem to be able to get this to display properly.

Hi, then you need to somehow customize the detail view, external links can be displayed in category view only. Or you can paste the link to the description, which will be displayed in detail view below the image.
