Category problems

I´ve just installed PhocaGallery (I run Joomla 1.5.15 and PHP 5.2.6). When I ad a new category it doesn´t show in the category-list, but I can chose the category when I adding images and it also shows in frontend. It dosen´t show users eather. What´s the problem and what to do??

there are different ways how to add categories to Phoca Gallery and how to fill them with images.

Users - you can see users in User Manager in Joomla! User list in Phoca Gallery only displays users which have uploaded some image or avatar to Phoca Gallery in frontend.

I have tried everything and nothing works. The list of categories will not show. BUT, when I´m adding pictures, then I can choose the categories I have added (but I still can´t see them in the category list). I also tried to ad pictures i frontend and the userlist is empty/blank in backend.

Hi, can I see the site where this occurs? Try to check your system plugins if there is some which can prevent from displaying images on the site.

Hi, the install.sql is empty because the data are installed with help of php script. There is install.bak for custom installation.

I cannot find link to Phoca Gallery on that site

Now there is a PhcoaGallery under "Bilder". But the gallery in frontend is no problem, it´s in the backend.
As you can se in frontend I can create categories and put pictures in them. But in the Phoca Gallery Categories in backend the categories I have added won´t show up, but I can choose them when I ad new pictures. So they are created but won´t show.

Hi, you need to set owner and folder for the category if user should be able to see it in UCP or "use" it (upload). Or rights if this category should be used in Category View for uploading images, etc.
