I read the documentation, and it seems that the problem is that when I click Add, then click the Image button to select new images to add to an existing gallery, all I get is a list of the folders, and I cant get into the folders to select the new image.
There's no way I can manage the photos without them being sorted into folders, as I have way too many. But once they are in folders, the only way to add the images if from Multiple Add, which creates a duplicate gallery / sub category.

Hi, sorry I don't understand, you can go through the folder tree and select image you need, then it will be added to Phoca Gallery with the path.

Re: Cant add new photos to existing gallery
what Im saying is, I can't get to the images. If I click the folder, it just refreshes, and does not show the contents of the folder.
I go to the component, then click images, then click add, then click the image button next to file name, and I get a pop up window with a list of all my folders. but clicking any folder, or its filename, just refreshes the window, it does not open the folder so I can select an image that is in that folder.

Hmmm, did you try to use other browser, do you get e.g. some javascript error there (should not be), maybe cache issue?
