Hi guys.
My server runs PHP 5.2.6.
allow_url_fopen and json_decode are enable.
Phoca gallery version is 2.7.5.
When I try to connect with one album, the component always returns my this message:
"Connection to Picasa not created. There are connection problems or the Picasa User was not found. Check the User field. Check if the album is published. If it is not published but unlisted, check your authentication key."
The link to my album is http://picasaweb.google.com/bvb.anno2010.
I try to load different albums that are Published. For example for the album named Meeting Zonale I typed in Album Name field the word "MeetingZonale". I just copy it from the url bar.
In User field I wrote "bvb.anno2010".
I also try with "bvb.anno2010" but nothing happened.
What It could be the problem?
Thank you.
Can't create connection with Picasa

Re: Can't create connection with Picasa
This is the output of information tabs of phoca gallery.

The function exif_read_data() is disabled but It's not mentionated in the Picasa importing documentation.

Re: Can't create connection with Picasa
Hi, mostly if there will be problem with JSON, cUrl or allow_url_fopen then you will get an error message about this problem.
The error message is comming because the server is not able to load the basic information fro Picasa. Maybe there are some limit or restricting settings on the server ??? Maybe try to use it with Authentication Key ???

Re: Can't create connection with Picasa
I set the Authentication Key and the message error changed into:
"Picasa Album not found. Check the Album field."
but the name of album is right.
"Picasa Album not found. Check the Album field."
but the name of album is right.

Re: Can't create connection with Picasa
Seems like this is still problem with connecting and getting the info from Picasa server
Do you have the possibility to check it e.g. on your localhost. I have tested it on my localhost and test server and got your album without any problems.
