different thumbnail sizes for each category?

Hi,

i've got 2 different categories where the display of the thumbnail boxes are different 100x100 and 200x200

How can I set these different sizes by creating the thumbnails.
Actually I change the picture-setting and let the thumnails for category create in this size I need.
Is there an other way....
Because I want to give this job to someone else. I don't think that they always think about these setting change...

Hi, for this you need to set it in parameters before thumbnail creating, if there will be created images for category 1, you need to set the size for category one, if there will be created images for category 2, you need to set the size for category 2.

Only one instance of thumbnail is created, so e.g. medium thumbnail cannot have two medium thumbnails.

that's the way i do it actually.

maybe in future versions you can realise settings for each category

Hi, I think, this is not possible because of performance of the server, settings unlimited count of possible sizes for each category, not sure how this can be done and how to identify unlimited count of diffrent thumbnails sizes on the server

ich versuchs nochmal auf deutsch.

ich kann ja pro kategorie verschiedene thumbnail größen anzeigen lassen.
es wäre jetzt aber auch gut, wenn beim ERSTELLEN der thumbnails nicht die globale Größe der thumbnails genommen wird, sondern die anzuzeigende Größe in der Kategorie.

im moment muss ich vor jedem thumbnail erstellen die globalen einstellungen ändern.

für mich wäre es ideal, würdet ihr beim erstellen die einstellung der kategorie einlesen und nicht die globale einstellung.

ich hoffe das war ein wenig verständlicher

Hallo, ich verstehe es, es gibt leider nicht so eine Einstellung jetzt , so habe ich es in Feature Request List eingegeben.
