I'm not able to upload images

I have a small jpg image, 72 dpi, 500x350 pixels. When I upload it using Phoca Gallery, I get a blue square with a question mark in the middle.

I would use an FTP application to upload the image if I knew where to put it in my site.

Any help would be appreciated!

Problem persists.

It doesn't matter whether I use .jpg or .jpeg suffix...every upload comes in with a blue question mark.

What do I do?

Have you tried to upload your pictures with an extern FTP program like eg. FileZilla?

I'm on the Macintosh platform, and use Dreamweaver for ftp. I tried Dreamweaver and was successful in the transfer, but when I viewed the imaged in Phoca each one was a white box outlined in blue with a blue question mark in the middle.

I was able to fix the problem. The "create thumbnails" function had been disabled.
