Hi there, I was wondering where and how phoca stores the exif data

Phoca Gallery reads out Exif-Data from the original images. It`s not stored in the Database or somewere else.

and if it was possible to extract one particular value from the exif data to use in a another query.

Therefore, have you plan to extract tag from the exif/IPTC ??

see the post above, yes this is planned (but really no idea when I find time for doing it, now it is more difficult as all the extensions need to be rewritten for Joomla! 1.6).
