Warning on frontend

Post by sindb »

Dear,

I get the following warning on the frontend of my site:
Warning:
getimagesize(/home/derecht1/public_html/canada/components/com_phocagallery/assets/images/shadow1.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/derecht1/public_html/canada/components/com_phocagallery/views/category/view.html.php on line 179

see URL: http://www.derechter.ca/canada/index.ph ... 6&Itemid=9

This image "shadow1.jpg" is there and the code in this file I don't understand :(

I'm working with Joomla 1.5.17 and phoca Gallery 2.7.3

One: I don't understand why I get this error ?
Second: The DISPLAY-ERRORS are OFF and still I see this error ?

Can someone help me please ?

TIA

Regards,
sindb

Hi, no idea why you get php error if you have disabled it but did you check if the shadow is "jpg" As default there is only "png" or "gif" Try to switch it to png or gif in parameters.

Hi Jan,

Thanks for reply.

1/ To set off DISPLAY-ERRORS must be done by the provider, which I did but it took a while and now these warnings aren't visible anymore.

2/ This image is a jpg.

3/ Icon Format was jpg but now it 's gif. I would like to test it but then I have to ask this again and wait till they do this modification. If this wouldn't help then I must ask to change this setting again and wait.

I hope that ignoring these warnings won't gave me troubles in the future.

Hi, you just only go to administrator and set parameters component in menu link to gallery - format icon - to gif or png.

Hi Jan,

Thanks for reply.

Maybe my previous answer wasn't clear but I did what you suggested:
Changed the Icon Format via administrator / parameters component in menu link to gallery to gif.

I would like to test it but then I have to ask again the provider to change DISPLAY-ERRORS to ON.
If this modification (change icon format) wouldn't help then I must ask to change this setting again to OFF.

So I'm only wondering if:
Ignoring these warnings won't gave me troubles in the future ?

Hi, this warning is there, because the system cannot find jpg shadow box. If you change the shadowbox to default (gif or png) you will not get such warning.

(or if you install some theme wich includes shadowboxes with jpg format)

Hi Jan,

now I see that there is only a shadow1.gif and a shadow1.png and not a shadow1.jpg.
It's confusing
I don't understand that phocagallery is looking for an image that isn't included with the default images ?

I did what you suggested and this warning is gone now :|

Thanks a lot Jan :D

Hi, it is not confusing - as default you have gif and png icons and shadow images but some of the themes are not using pngs nor gifs. So such themes will automatically load jpgs and will automatically change parameters to jpg.

If the parameters is as default it looks after gifs.

So this is the feature for different possible themes.
