Highslide for Detail View Not Working

I'm a newbie at using Phoca Gallery so as can be expected I'm having some issues.

First of all, I'm developing a site with Joomla (1.5.7) and I am using Phoca Gallery V2.7.0. I have also installed the Image Module and enabled it (Mosaic Design settings) and I am using that as a link to the component (my site design does not include a link to the gallery in the menu).

The module works great and links back to categories, category, detail view correctly.

The problem is that the detail view I want is the Highslide view and it simply does not work. I've changed the configuration at the module and component parameters level and it still practically just ignores me. When I click on an image thumbnail in the category for the detail view, the component takes me to another page with the image in modal view. In fact, the only view that seems to work is the modal view.

I am at my wits end. Is there something I missed? Should I uninstall and re-install PhocaGallery or do I need to install something else to make it work? Where do I start?

Hi, the higslide code is loaded on the site but not working. Try to test it with some standard template if there is no conflict between javascript libraries. If not try to check all other extensions loaded on the site with Phoca Gallery (e.g. modules).

And you should upgrade to latest Phoca Gallery version.

Hello Jan,

The problem is that I upgraded everything right after I posted to the forum - same problem.
Right now, I'm using Joomla 1.5.19 Phoca Gallery 2.7.3 and using the latest version of the Image Module.

UPDATE: Checking with the beez template and the Highslide works! It also works with JA Purity and Milkyway templates. Why is it not working with my template? I'm trying to find anything the three templates have in common with each other and not with my template. The only javascript in my template folder is the one controlling my main menu (suckerfish).

Any ideas on where I can start looking?

UPDATE 2: Figured out what was wrong. A very silly error in my template index.php. Fixed it and of course, it has resulted in more errors that I need to deal with. Thank you for your time though. Much props for your component!

Hi, no idea as I don't know your template, but some javascript library can be in conflict, maybe it is a menu - just try to disable it in parameters ...
