Directory creation

I'm getting a "could not create directory" message when trying to upload Phoca Gallery. I did raise this sometime ago and then let it slide.

Having forgotton all about it, I went and tried to install the latest version and still got the same error. This time I decided to try it on another site, which is hosted by another company. It installed successfully with no problems. I know at the time I originally tried to get this fixed the hosting company said all was ok at their end. Can you give me some pointers on what I need to be asking the hosting company to look for?

Hi, you should try to check permissions or ownership of files and folders on that server, maybe try to enable ftp layer too, see for similar information:

Looks like it was an issue with the server that the site was hosted on. I tried the plugin on another site that was hosted with the same company and it worked. They have now move the site to another server and I've uploaded the plugin successfully.
