Hi, try to check your server settings. Phoca Download give information about the file to browser only, so the download happens in your browser -> OS. Try to check it with other browser too. Try to check if you have some limitation on your server, and try to check the mime type of pdf, see settings of Phoca Download (there can be different mime types, so try to add other pdf mime type too, see google for searching pdf mime type codes)

Hi, I see, no idea what can be wrong, try:

- check server settings, if there is no limitation
- test it with SEF disabled
- test to remove the numbers from alias of the files (should not be a problem as other files includes numbers and the download is working there)
- test to remove all the dots from file, from: jucy.macxx.xxx.xxx.zip to jucy-macxx-xxx-xxx.zip (the same like previous, other files include dots  )

any combinations of filename with/without dots not work, any combinations of using/not using SEF not work...
edit: its my VPS server, with clean install of ubuntu server edition 9.10, running only one website (Joomla! 1.5.18) with latest Phoca Downloads, using AceSEF component (used Joomla! router for Phoca Download) on Jamba template, and one verlihub, no special limits for upload or download

its seems that that problem is not in your component, i tested jDownloads with the same results, i am tryed to use file.zip (32MB) and it was downloaded with 0B on both components, i tryed to set limits in php.ini in apache to 50 MB, to add limit to htacess in joomla to 50 MB, in Phoca Download the same limit, but results still the same, seems to be problem in whole Joomla! or some weird server settings, i will be searching for solution.
another problem is that i cant upload that file with using Phoca Download, its report that file is not in allowed files ( ofcourse it is allowed as zip file) or there are limits on server. early files was uploaded with gFTP, and are downloadable only with ftp.
seems somewhere is limit for files with around 10 MB and more.

The result is that the problem is not in Phoca Download component.
Good luck Jan and thans for your saupport and great component
