Flash upload - Change directory?

Post by Padyx »

Hello everyone!

I wanted to ask whether the Phoca Download Component uses its own flash uploader or the Joomla! uploader?
I have the issue that I cannot change the directory away from the phocadownload directory (as discovered in settings - Thanks Jan ;-) ).
Example: I have my main Phoca Download folder with two subfolders in it. I want to upload a file in one of those. When I click on the "subfolder1", it jumps a few millimeters to the right, back again and nothing else happens. I can neither access or upload any files stored in those folders by the PhocaDownload Domponent.

No such Problem with the Joomla! uploader. I have already set the chmod to 777 for Subfolder and Phocafolder without success. The (sub)folder creation and upload to the main folder of PD works fine.

Any suggestions / opinions?

And now I get with all the files : "Fehler beim Download der Datei" - "Error downloading file".
Pretty inconclusive message.

Hi, the same flash uploader as by Joomla! is used . Try to upgrade to Phoca Download v1.0.2, I have updated the javascript files to the same as in Joomla! 1.5.6 are used ...

Hi Jan!
I tried to upgraded to version 1.0.3 beta (didnt see 1.0.2) and it still does not work.
I suspect it might be an error in the upgrade routine - it didn't change the version number either (still 1.0.1 beta).

i tried to uninstall and reinstall it (joomla 1.5.6 by the way) hitting those problems:
- The version number is still 1.0.1b
- The component seems to "remember" my former folder which I changed in the settings and recreated it ( images/phocadownload)
- It still refuses to work...

What I have not yet tried is manually wiping the tables in the SQL DB. If you don't have an idea, i'll try that next.

Have a nice weekend!

SEF

After I saw the post of alexispj in this forum - I tried disabling SEF.
This resolves the Problem with the Component, that I cannot download files (no error anymore). What it does not resolve is the uploader problem...

the displaying of version was obsolete (wrong version number) but the new version are updated.. While upgrading, not sql will be changed, no changes in phocadownload folder will be done, only 'system' files will be overwritten...

if you cannot run the uploading with flash, then try to user ftp, media manager or uploading without flash :(
