Slideshow javascript problem

Hello,

i have install the Phoca Gallery in a site and a friend has an issue with the slideshow modal box.

When he start the slideshow with the "Play" button, the image disapear and they is just a wiht screen.

He has IE8.

He told me to he have try to acces the galery from a cybercoffe and the buttons of the modal box dont apear...

It is strange because i have IE8 to and no problem. With FF, no problem for her and me.

I am not a programmer but i thing it is a javascript problem, is it possible ?

Yes, it is I see no problem with IE8 too, so in fact there is no chance to get info what can be wrong on your friends PC

but is there a way to upgrade the javascript in his PC ?

I dont know what is exactly javascript, i dont know if it is a addon like java, adobe reader, etc.. ?
