Not sure which of the above "forces" Phoca to make the thumbnail the same size as the original

... there is no automatically creation of thumbnails which will have the same size as original... so if you know your images have e.g. 1024x768, you set the large thumbnail size to 1027x768

Here is described, where which thumbnail is used:

so if you want to have e.g. the thumbnail in detail view 1024x768 you set the large image width and height

On your site, you have created bigger thumbnails but you must change the parameters in parameters component (in menu link) too that the change will be displayed in front:

Hi,
I cant seem to change the thumbnail size. I have set the component parameters for the Phoca Menu Item to:

Image Size Beside Category Name: Medium
...
...
Medium Image Width: 199
Medium Image Height: 122

...but still, the sizes will be 100x100 px.

The documentation speeks about a global configuration. But I can't seem to find this Parameters button:

Components » Phoca Gallery » Control Panel » [Parameters] button.

This button you show me is not displayed in my version. I have made two different installations (localy on Windows and Live on Unix), this makes me think it has to do with the Phoca version 2.7.0?

No, this has nothing to do with the version. All Phoca Gallery versions must have this button, because all global parameters are set here. I don`t know why you can´t see this button. Try to install Phoca Gallery once more. Did you mention the requirements

* Joomla!1.5.10 (stable or any later version)
* PHP 4.4.1 (or any later version) with GD library (graphics library for thumbnails creation).

Yes, I have installed the gallery twice. Once localy (Windows) and once live (Unix) with the same result. During installation I didn't get any kind of error notifications.
I have also looked in the generated source code (from browser), and the parameter button isn't generated.

PHP: 5.2.13

Am I the only one having this problem?

I added to the params column:

• medium_image_width=199
  medium_image_height=122

...and it worked fine, the thumbs are recreated with the correct size.

Is the Params-button "hard coded" or is it fetched from the database somehow? What is the url to the params view?
