Hi, there is no such option so this needs to be customized, but no idea if there will be no problem with actualizing the site (if you upload in popup, you will not get any up-to-date infos in the previous window)

I am facing the problem front-end user panel>category view. The maximum no of category the user can use is set as-5. So when a user is creating a new category (after 5 or more than 5) It is showing the following error.



* Maximum count of subcategories reached. The subcategory cannot be created.

Kindly tell me how can I increase the category limit PHOCA GALLERY USER Panel.

That the default setting... You can increase that by going to phoca gallery control-panel -> parameters -> and then increase the max subcategory value from current 5 to whatever you want...

In Phoca Gallery global configuration i have set "Maximum count of subcategories" to value 250 and maximum Used space to 100MB but when i login as publisher on UCP it says:

Number of categories: 5 (Max: 5, Left: 0)
Used space: 6.98 MB (Max: 20.00 MB, Left: 13.02 MB)

Can someone explain that to me, why is that so and how can i fix this.

P.s.: I'm using Phoca Gallery 2.7.5 version in 1.5.10 Joomla!

menus - > user menu -> photo album admin -> component (parameters) -> Maximum Count of Subcategories

and also in

Component -> Phoca Galery -> control panel -> parametrs -> property Maximum Count of Subcategories

But still when my user goes to frontend and tries to create new subcategory it says "Maximum count of subcategories reached. The subcategory cannot be created." Don't understand. Can you please help.

Yes and I know if I change it in menu menus - > user menu -> photo album admin -> component (parameters) -> Maximum Count of Subcategories it is inherited in Component -> Phoca Galery -> control panel -> parametrs -> property Maximum Count of Subcategories. Maybe you solved it already somewhere.

Version PhocaGallery: 2.7.8.

Hmmm, testing with 2.8.1, changed in menu link parameters to the UCP without any problem ???

Hi Jan thank you for quick reply. Do you think I should upgrade Phoca Image Gallery from 2.7.8 -> current version 2.8.1, is that simple, I don't want to lose pictures that user uploaded. Is there any check list? Do you have any experience with upgrading Phoca.

I made upgrade to 2.8.1, and still it stays the same, really don't understand it. Can you provide me path and the source php file(s) that are responsible for that part, maybe it didn't update the value in mysql database, please check it and get back. Below I provided pictures on the issuse:

Maybe I should delete all the images, after that delete categories, and start from creating main category, I think in some step system wrote it somewhere, it would be easier if you could tell if so I dont dig in code, maybe there is somewhere hard coded or something.
