Rewrite Not Working Correctly

I've been having a play with Phoca Download when using Joomla 1.5 MOD Rewrite option.

However when I embed a download in an article using {phocadownload view=file|id=1|target=b} the download doesn’t work.

Any ideas whats going on?

I've also noticed it doesn't work when using Search Engine Friendly URLs with mod_rewrite disabled.
