Phoca Map Dynamic Label Control position

Hi, Is it possible to adjust the vertical position of the Dynamic Label Control, as in the standard position, it overlaps the Map/Satellite/Hybrid view control buttons? Alternatively, is it possible to set the fade to be quicker? Thanks, Keith..

Hi, which fade you mean? (maybe this should be a question on Google Maps developers). Please let me know the screenshot (with imagemagic e.c.) or live site to see the position problem?

Hi Jan,
Thanks for responding. The fade in question is the Dynamic Label Control that starts with 'Current location...', which covers the map view control for about 10 seconds, whenever the map zoom is changed. My site is under development and I can't upload images to this forum, so I've posted an example here...

Dropping its vertical position by 15-20px would solve the problem (otherwise, I'll just turn it off in the options).

Hi, did yo test it with some standard template?

The site is branded using a UK Scouts theme template, so I don't have the option to apply a different one.

I'm not that technical and I don't want to get into theme template editing - as even if I knew what div to adjust, it may break something else. So, I'll just leave this option switched off - it's not a big problem.

Hi, you should only test other template, you will go to template manager and will set other template (e.g. the basic rhuk_milkyway) then you can set it back - it is only one click.

Hi Jan,
OK, tested with rhuk_milkyway template and the same behaviour - the dynamic label overlaps control is set in the same top-right corner as the map view control and overlaps it completely, (until it fades away after about 10 seconds). So, if I can't move the dynamic label control vertically downwards in some simple way - such as a line in a CSS file - I'll leave it switched off for now.

hmmm, no idea there, did you try to test the version 1.1.0 ?

Well, the map type control can be repositioned in V1.1.0, so it can be moved out of the way. However, now the dynamic label function has been dropped - there is no option to show it - so there is no need to reposition the map type control!
Either way, there is no longer a problem with them clashing!
