Phoca maps recognize not all places

I have the component installed on this site: http://www.oldfox.nl/routebeschrijving.html
A lot of places were not recognized.
Type a big city as "Deventer" and a popup will follow.
And so there are more!!
Whats the reason of that?
You have not that problem with the google maps plugin.
The reason I choose this extension is that de route is on the site itsself and not in Google maps.

Hi, I think this should be a question on Google Map API The search is a part of maps which are loaded by Google Maps API

When I am going to google maps and search for "Deventer", google maps find it without troubles.
When i search here http://www.oldfox.nl/routebeschrijving.html with Phoca Maps for "Deventer" nothing is found.
Thats what I mean.

Hi, no idea there, maybe there is other API used. Phoca Maps uses API2 because not all feautres are implemented in API3, maybe there is other reason but this I don't know. The Google Maps is loaded on the site and then all data are taken from Google, there is no other option, e.g. to load data from some other framework

Jan I have the solution:
When you type the country after the city it works well.
So in the example "Deventer" does not work but "Deventer Nederland" or "Deventer NL" or "Deventer the Netherlands" works well!!

Another question, is streetview already possible with Phoca Maps?
Would be nice, because I like this component, its better than the Google Maps plugin, because the route is showed in the site itsself.

Hi, no Phoca Maps is going to support API3 and for now there is no feature

Jan I mean, I have changed the language file, so in the popup I told they have to add the country after the city and then it works fine.
So " Deventer does not work, but Deventer NL or Deventer, NL or Deventer nederland or Deventer, nederland or Deventer the Netherlands or Deventer, the Netherlands it all works like a charm
