Move guestbook items

I had the oppurtunity to start a brand new site with a new domainname and a new fresh database and at a new hosting-provider. A great way of finally loosing a lot of old crap still on the site (the site was allready once converted from Joomla 1.0).

I allready installed Phoca guestbook (nd gallery by the way), for they rock! However, I would like to keep the existing guestbook-items from the old site and database. Is this possible and if so, how to do this?

Hi, I suppose you didn't use Phoca Guestbook on Joomla! 1.0 so it will be not so easy. you need to get the info from database by some software like phpMyAdmin is and then convert the data to Phoca Guestbook structure

The site has been converted from Joomla version 1.0 to 1.5 for over a year. So the last used version of the guestbook is the most recent available. the export and import therefor is between similar versions of phoca Guestbook. Do I still have to go to phpMyAdmin to export the items?

Hi, it is hard to say, becuase I don't know the component you have used for Joomla!1.0 and I don't know the database structure for such component, so no experiences there
