Download button in file view not working

I did the update but the behavior is still the same. I did clear the cache and tried IE and FF.

@cohenu: Download the latest version and upgrade (even if you have the latest version installed). External links will work but open in _self instead of _blank.

update :

I installed again and changed to self instead of blank...not working don't know what to do...any idea?

Hi, if you link to some external file, and you are using a link (Category View) then you can use _blank to go to the download site. But if you are using external file and you are using a button (File View) then there is no option to make the button link _blank

There are methods to make the button link with _blank but such methods can have problems with some browsers and with some directly uploaded files, so in Phoca Download there is used the javascript for redirection to external file (in File View using button)

This can be customized, so you can change the button to normal link so you get _blank working but then e.g. you cannot use the javascript to confirm the license etc. etc.

Hi Jan,
I tried with self and blank both of them don't work,
I don't need the license, I just need that:
someone surf to the site then click on category then in category view he choose one of the downloads,
he click on download - then he arrived to file view he have a button named download without license,
and it refresh the page the link is external to a file,

the only menu link is to Section List Layout

what do you think?

Hi, then this needs to be customized so you change the button link to some standard url in file view

1.I created Section List Layout
2.in Parameters (Component) I changed Display File View - Yes

and in the External URL Link: I put URL to file on the internet

and its doesn't work if I change Display File View - No - it worked but I loose the file view
