Maps shown only when Marker = off

Hi!
This is very strange effect: I have installed PhocaMap on my Joomla 1.5.15 with JYAML-template. It is associated to a non-published menu-item, so that it gets an item-id. By this I can invoke PhocaMap within the modalizer plugin fom www.nonumber.nl. By this trick, I can define the appearance of the modal window in which the map shows up.
This construction did work very well at first.
It was such an elegant solution, fitting the design rules within my site, I was very happy with it. And I have linked PhocaMap in my Joomla Developers Credit:

Some days ago, I was surprised, that none of my maps shows up, when the link is clicked. The modal windw opens and it remains empty.
Because of the item id which is set via the hidden menu, I can manually type in the url for invoking any of my maps, stored by PhocaMap. Also these maps remained empty, the map did not load from Google server or it does not show up within PhocaMap.

I have checked the geo-coordinates in maps an markers, everything nice! Then I accidently unpublished one of the markers and when I recalled the related map via manually typed in URL, the map was shown correctly, but of course without marker. When I published the marker again, no map and no marker shows up!

OK I thought, that the data for the marker would be wrong in the database. So I made a new marker with the same geo-coordinates. And the bug still remains there. I did the same procedure with the related map, but without effort.

So it seems to be evident that there must be something wrong with the software connection between the marker and the map.

Hi, if you get blank page, maybe there is some error displayed and the script is ended. Try to enable error reporting to see if there is some error. Can I see the page where this occurs?

i never used to have this problem before, and have no idea what has caused it.

I have a map, and on the map i have several markers, from one point on, after having put through a specific marker, it will just give me a gray map, if i delete the marker, i then get the map displayed properly.

Thought it might be a bug, so i tried a new map, and a new marker, but i get the same problem for any marker i try to put through.

Any idea what might be causing it?

Hi, did you get some error message? Try to enable error reporting to on and see the html source code to see if there is some error message?

Hi Jan!
I have tested with debugg function of Joomla activated and did not see any errors there. I can send you my debug text if you want this.

This link is normally not available for public and is not accessible via navigation etc.

Edit: I have just packed my complete Joomla Site with Joomlapack and then installed on an local XAMPP-Server on my Computer, in order to keep my trying private. I can access the Google-Maps even from the XAMPP server, but the error with the marker map remains also on the XAMPP-server!

What else can I do, to find the bug?

Hi, do you have enabled error reporting on your localhost? If yes try to see the html code, the error can be displayed in javascript area, so it will be not displayed on the site but only in html source.

I am having the same problem. I just have one map and one marker, but the map will not display when the marker is enabled. Was a solution ever discovered for this problem?

Hi, did you check the site for the javascript errors - with some debug or javascript console?
