[Solved] Front-End Uplaod: category/section dropdown empty

Post by moe »

Hi -

Found nothing in doc/forum. Having difficulty with front end user upload, which is enabled. I've created sections and categories (both public and registered) but they don't appear in front end drop-down menu's for registered user. Any ideas?

Thanks
m.

Re: no category/section to select in front end

Hi, you need to set permissions for the category. Go to category in admin and set who can upload files into this category.

Thank you Jan!

I assumed the Category 'access level' set at Public would override 'Upload rights' settings. Initially, for site dev I wanted all users to have upload rights but that wasn't an option so I left the Upload rights settings alone. Though, I see why this is a great feature for when it goes live. Great work on both Download and PG.

Cheers,
m.
