Windows Media Video (wmv)

Hello, Great Joomla! Component!

What type of mime type is required that would cause the "Play" button to show for my wmv video files? Currently, I am getting the "Error while downloading file (Mime Type not found)" when the "Download" button is clicked on. I need to be able to offer a download wmv file as well as a Play wmv file.

I would like for the users own player to view the wmv video such as Windows Media Player. I am not against installing a video player into Joomla! it that is what it takes.

Hi check settings of your Phoca Download, if there is a correct mime type of wmv file.

That's the case....I don't know what to enter in order for it to play wmv files. I know where to enter it in the Phoca Downloads settings but I just don't know what to put there. wmv files do not have a mime type that I am aware of.

You might try video/x-ms-wmv.
