Jan,
Is it correct that people can wright only time in the guestbook?
Is there a filter that say: This emailaddress is already used?
How can i switch this check off?

Re: Only one review?
Hi, sorry I don't understand:
"Is it correct that people can wright only time in the guestbook"
You can write so many messages you want, but you cannot write messages as some other user. You cannot use account of some other registered user.

Re: Only one review?
Jan,
If a person want to write a message for the second time he get a error: This emailaddress is already used.
My setting is: Registered Users Only: NO
This is strange. I test it myself and wrote a new review with a mail address from a customer and guess what...
The error is there: This emailadres is already used
I want to fix this because every review is good to have also a client that want to wright a 2th of 3th one.
Any idea?

Re: Only one review?
Users can write so many reviews they want. There is no limitation.
Search this forum for getting information about login, guestbook, users
If some user has account in Joomla! nobody can use his account data. So if you will be registered in your Joomla! as Micha, nobody other can login with your Micha login name, the same like guestbook, nobody can write review as Micha, only you can do it. Of course if you are not logged it, you cannot administrate your site, the same like by guestbook, if you are not loggin you cannot post a review as Micha. The same like in the bank, if you will not put PIN, you get no money from bank automat. This is standard user managament feature.

Re: Only one review?
Hi Jan,
You are fine. I have test it myself but now longer. It's the security code that's cause this upper fault message.
When you typ the wrong securitycode you get 2 errors.
One at the top: In Dutch: Dit emailadres bestaat al (emailadres already in use)
And lower, just above the code: De code is niet juist, probeer het opnieuw (code is not good, try again)
So is the translation not good? Wrong text? What's this uper text in English?

Re: Only one review?
YESS thank you Jan,
I see now the original text on a other site:
How can i set this function off because a user wants to write quick a review and not login first and then write a review, it cost time. And gone is the client
I run now for 4 month Phoca guestbook and i have same visitors on the guestbook link but less reviews in my guestbook?
So i think that's the reason that i want to disable this email check.
Can I hack the code so there's NO check if the email is from a reg.user? I don't want to switch the email field OFF.
Thanks 4 your quick answer every time!!!!

I don't know as I didn't do such changes, so this needs to be customized in the code

You can disable the email function but you cannot use email of some registered user. This is the standard protection of registered users and I don't know how to skip this protection as I didn't try it yet

So, yes the code is open so you can do this customization for you. But I cannot do this as default as I cannot break standard access rules

Re: Only one review?
No No Jan you don't understand me. I mean:Jan wrote:How can i set this function off because a user wants to write quick a review and not login first and then write a review, it cost time. And gone is the clientThis is the same question like you will go to the bank and ask: "how can I take money from bankomat without credit card and PIN. It cost time to take the card and remember the PIN"
I send my customer automatic a link after 5 days to ask hem if he please wants to write a review about my service. The customer take the time to click and write a second review. But when he is finished the review he see a text that he is a reg. customer and that he first must log in to write a review. The customer think: Sorry but YOU want me to write a review. So please make it easy to me. And gone is the client.
Do you understand me now Jan?

But i disable the email field and the customer can't fill in his address any more, problem solved

Not what i want but i must make it easy for my client. And feel glad that he take the time to write a review for me

Micha
