What Do I do Now?

Phoca Download looks like a good product but as a complete beginner I have no clue about what to do next. I have downloaded and installed the component and the module. On my home page the module displays (left) and when I click on the module link a (module?) page opens showing me what appears to be a list of categories that I have created (only one at the moment). Clicking on the link does nothing whatsover (http://www.criticalcognition.eu/compone ... ategory/1-). I can see that this does not point at a file! What do I have to do to have a page with links to files with a download button beside it so that when you click on the link a save dialog box appears? I would happily write a dummy's guide as a contribution in future, unfortunately I have not graduated to such a high level! Tom SPOORS (London)

Hi, yes, some guide will be great as I cannot find time for doing this

In fact this is the same procedure as by other components.

You should create section first, then you should create category and then you should create file (you will add information about file in File Edit and then you will select the file from the server). Then you will go to menu manager and you will create new menu link to Phoca Download.

Jan, thank you! I will write down one thousand times that JOOMLA! is a menu-driven environment, JOOMLA is ...
I will write a step-by-step mini guide. Where should I post this? Should I send it to you or put it up on my own site and send you a download link?
