Review message is not translated

Post by derebo »

Hello,

I've come to realise the review message is not translated. When searching for the matching strings in the language files, e.g. New Phoca Guestbook item saved or .e.g click the link or e.g. regards, they are displayed in English even though default language can be set to any other. Those very same strings do not seeem to show in the com_phocaguestbook_v1.3.2.zip files. Does this mean review messages are relayed through another "something" that sets what text is written on the review message? How can it be configured? :o

Greetings!

Mike

Hello,

Yes, first thing I did. I checked es-ES.com_phocaguestbook.ini and es-ES.com_phocaguestbook.menu.ini
Every line's been translated. Maybe that text is still inside the com code? Yet to be exported as a constant to a lang file?

Thanks!

Mike

edit: this is what the email message looks like:
New Phoca Guestbook item saved

Website: websitename
From: guestname
Date: whateverdate

Título: Hola mundo! 12
Mensaje:

texto 12

Click the link
weblink

Regards,
websitename
Emboldened text shows in English.

But it is the translation up to date. It means there can be every line translated but e.g. lines from the newest version can be missed there?

Well, I downloaded it straight from the Phoca Guestbook download link:
https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/5 ... t?start=20

However, I have just noticed the details tab says July 2008, so I guest the Spanish language file is not updated... Do you think you can provide me with an updated Spanish lang file where new chains in English are shown so that I can do the translation? I can email them back to you. I'll be glad to support your project.

Hello,

Translation updated and finished, files uploaded to server, now every field is shown translated. Great.

Just one more thing: text from these two fields...
PHOCA GUESTBOOK ITEM SAVED=Gracias por su comentario
REVIEW MESSAGE=El mensaje se mostrará una vez el Administrator lo haya revisado
is shown as...
Gracias por su comentario, El mensaje se mostrará una vez el Administrator lo haya revisado
Could you make it look like...
Gracias por su comentario. El mensaje se mostrará una vez el Administrator lo haya revisado
Mind the dot instead of comma.

Also...
CLICK THE LINK=Click the link below to read the whole message
is linking to the full Phoca Guestbook items in the website, so the text is confusing. I have realised when I have clicked on the link. Maybe it should say something like...
CLICK THE LINK=Click the link below to read all Phoca Guestbook published items
Thanks for Phoca Guestbook. I'll upload you the translation files and PM you shortly.
