I know this is a permissions error, and it's driving me crazy. I can't get the size and folder setting changes to stay. I get a "Changes to Phoca Download Settings saved" but nothing has changed, still the old data.
Joomla is at 10M, the server is at 20M so I'm ok there but even the name of the upload folder can't be changed.
I must not be CHMODing the correct files or folders, if this is the case - help?
Thanks.
M
I should mention that I have had no other problems uploading any other files that were under the default size of 3M
Any very nice looking setup - thanks.

Re: changed settings won't stick
No, I've been either using cpanel file manager or an FTP client.
I get this error-
JFTP::login: Unable to login
JFTP::write: Unable to use passive mode
JFTP::delete: Bad response
JFTP::write: Unable to use passive mode
Message
An Error has occurred! Unable to open configuration.php file to write!
Afte this I 777'd my config file using FTP client and still the same error, even at 777. I think there may be some other locks here. After a ton of securirty issues, I'm locked down tight.
I'm at a new server ( Rochen) and bought an Anti-Hacker program so there might be more goin on here. If you have any ideas, let me know, but I'll check on the other ends before I bother you any more about this. I thought I could just ftp and do it manually, but I didn't know that files to access.

did you check the ownership (not permission)?
