tar.gz files download with double extension tar.gz.gz

Hi Guys,

Hope someone can answer the following problem I'm having. I have uploaded some files in my Phoca Download component. Some are Zip files with .zip extension and others are Tar balls with .tar.gz extension. The Zip files seem to be fine when being downloaded but the tar balls are downloading with the extension tar.gz.gz instead of the standard tar.gz extension.

Can anyone shed any light on this problem, would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I am still having this issue and I can't find a solution to the problem.

Can anyone help - even a hint or thought might be helpfull.

I don't have an answer for you. I've looked at it and haven't figured out where the additional extension is being appended to the filename.

Hi, maybe you should see the server settings ???

This is very strange. I am not having a problem anymore. All I did was update Joomla to 1.5.11 and the problem is gone.
