Error when uploading mp3 files

When trying to upload files, I get this error:

# JFTP::store: Bad response
# Warning! - Failed to move file
# Error. Unable to upload file

Does anyone know why?

Hi, try to enable ftp layer.

FTP layer is enabled in joomla (Global configuration>system>ftp settings) Does it need to be enabled elsewhere as well?

Got it! I had to manually add the section and category folders then upload the files via FTP THEN upload using the component. All works fine, thank you.
