Notifications of sales to vendor/admin

I am sorry... I probably ask an ultra-basic question, but how is the vendor informed that a new sale was done on the site ?
I can't find any email field for that, and when I test my shop, I don't receive anything after a sale...
Can you help me ?

Edit Order Status that represent new order. Usually Pending or Confirmed.
Email Options > Email (Others) > enter email address that will recieve notification

Does customer receives email when order is placed?

I am yet just doing tests.
So the customer and the admin have both my own email address.
And I don't receive anything.
I have tested on different addresses and it is the same...

Hi, try to check if your Joomla is able to send emails generally. Then try to test with other email to check if the mails are not going into the spam folder

I have already tested with different email addresses, and the result is the same. Even with gmail address which should not be considered a spamming address.

But I wonder if the problem could come from the French translation : I have already seen some times an issue with some characters such as ' (quote)

What Jan meant was does your site send emails?
Go to System > Global Configuration > Server (Tab) > Mail (at the bottom of page)

Is it configured and how? PHP Mail, Sendmail or SMTP?
