How do I create Tiers?

Hi, I'm an AI Artist, and I'm just trying out Phoca Cart, and like what I see so far (great alternative to my current store software)! I need to create 4 tiers for digital image purchases and downloads:

1. Basic (Web, will be about 1152x896)
2. Standard (about 4424x3008)
3. Full HD (about 8448x6016)
4. Commercial License

I'm using 5.2.3 in Joomla 6, using the Casseopeia Extended template (so far). I haven't upgraded to the latest Phoca Cart because it's in Beta, but when the time comes and it goes into full release, I'll consider it.

At the advice of Google Gemini, I went into Products and created "Image Resolution & License" and then went to the Attributes tab and created (what I think was) Tiers 1 through 4, with the price I was thinking about charging). But, I'm not sure if this is the right area to be doing this in. It looks like it should look, asking for the Tier titles and the prices, but I get three different Image sizes I can upload. I don't want to upload the images here or create a new tier every single time I upload a new image, I want to apply the tier after I upload the image as a Product. Am I barking up the wrong tree?

OK, I think I have it figured out. I need to go to the Products page and when adding a new product, click the Attributes tab. When I do this, and click the green + icon, it allows me to create 3 (or 4) tiers that I want for each image. But this is so labour intensive. I'd like to be able to create something where I can select it out of the Predefined Attributes drop-down. When I get to this page, it shows me "Predefined attribute" so now that I know it's possible, I need to know how to create a Predefined Attribute. Right now it just shows me "Custom" and I don't want that, I want to be able to create something that allows me to choose from the different tiers.

ChatGPT and Gemini are of no use here, because they give instructions for the older version of Phoca Cart, like so:

1️⃣ Create a Predefined Attribute (Global Attribute) (and subsequently Attribute Values)
Go to Joomla Administrator
Navigate to:
Components → Phoca Cart → Attributes
Click New
Fill in:
Title: e.g. Size
Alias: auto-generated
Type: choose the appropriate type (most commonly Select, Radio, or Checkbox)
Published: Yes
Save

This doesn't do me any good because there is no Components -> Phoca Cart -> Attributes option. If I could only figure this out or get someone here who knows the response to my question, I would be eternally grateful!

Hi, when you add some attributes first time to the system, then in other product you can select them as the system just offers the current attributes.

For this purpose you need to think about if it is OK to do it for each image or e.g. to make some subscription feature where users can access e.g. some download component where the images will be ready in categories, etc. etc.

OK, so without PayPal working, how can I test if the tiers are correct? I point each tier to a different sized image, so that lowest tier will get the lowest resolution image, and the highest tier will get the largest image. In Sandbox mode (sandbox set to Yes), I go through the purchase process and it fails at the PayPal level so I'm unable to use my site until this issue at Paypal is addressed or someone can advise me what I'm doing wrong. I believe I have the PayPal standard plugin set up correctly but can't test it until I can successfully connect to PayPal.

It would help if I could attach screen captures, but I cannot do that for some reason. I'd like to be able to show you what is happening. Describing it in plain text isn't very efficient.

Hi, try to enable log in Phoca Cart and see what information do you have in log, Try to see this forum as there are some posts where the paypal issues are fixed. e.g. try to disable Verify SSL Certificate in payment options - in paypal tab., etc.
