Currently its showing a problem if I continue with the migration

What is the procedure for updating Phoca Gallery?
Do I disable , then migrate , then update Phoca or ????

Hi,

The migration concerns Joomla 3 to Joomla 4.
https://www.phoca.cz/documentation/86-j ... o-joomla-4

If you're already on Joomla 4, you can do a normal Joomla update to Joomla 5 and then install the PG version over it.

Kind regards

Yes we are on Joomla 4 , so basically do the migration and then just reinstall Phoca Gallery?

Thanks

Hi,

Joomla 4 to Joomla 5 is an upgrade, not a migration. See here:
https://docs.joomla.org/Joomla_4.4.x_to ... ep_by_Step

Check also System requirements etc. When ready, there is no need to reinstall Phoca Gallery.
Just use the PG version for Joomla5.

Kind regards

Can I just ask, so no need to do anything , no disable , no uninstall, just update Joomla and then update PG?

Hi,

Please go through the link above. Including the system requirements, to see if they are met.

There is probably a pre-update check. This generally applies to any other extensions.
Be sure to make a backup beforehand.

No disable, no uninstall is necessary.

Kind regards
Christine
