frontend youtube link upload and API errors

Post by corconsulting »

The video for setting up the API for this is obsolete, and i tried to set it up, but i am getting blocked errors. Can someone please help me with getting this set up. I keep getting the following error:

Error while importing YouTube data. Check the YouTube URL, check if the API key is valid.(Requests from referer are blocked.)

I wish I could just have it uploaded to the gallery directly.

Also when a user uploads to a category from the front end, I can't see who uploaded the image. why is the image owner now included? Even if I could see that from the admin interface, that would be incredibly helpful. Is there anything I could modify so I could see the username? I am using phoca gallery for an art Open Call

Hi, for now, the owner info is set for whole category, so if you click on category by this image in administration, you can see the owner.

Which version of Phoca Gallery do you use now?

I am using Version 5.0.3

It is really critical that any image upload be tied to a user ID. I am using the gallery for an Open Call system and i have to rely on the user to add their name to the title of the artwork. I often have users who forget and I have no idea which artist has submitted it. Even if it was possible to capture it in the Action Log and i could see that the user uploaded a certain image or just showing the user ID in the details of the image upload, then i would have a way to match it and reach out to the artist. That would be awesome and i would have a way to correct their entry but at the moment i can't tell who uploaded anything.
You can see how I am using it here and see the issue where there was no name added. I would have to disqualify their entry which is really unfortunate.
