Image number display in categories

Hi,

My top line of categories display the number of images in them, however, sub-categories and sub-sub-categoried don't display image numbers in them. How can this be turned on, please?

Hi,

I would like to clarify my question. Is it possible to have the number of images in a category, displayed on the category image, when it is a sub-category, that is, its below the root (top) category? I can only make image numbers appear on the root (top) category.
