Settings in detail view (photo description / detail window) are not applied

Dear all,
[phoca gallery component 4.5.5 , phoca gallery plugin 4.5.4, phoca button plugin 4.5.2, Joomla 4.4.0]
we migrated a Joomla 3 webpage to Joomla 4, together with Phoca Gallery Component, Phoca Gallery Plugin and Phoca Gallery Button Plugin.

After migration from J3 to J4 I uninstalled the Phoca Gallery component (leaving the phoca gallery button and phoca gallery plugins as they were), then installed the component again and updated the databases according to https://www.phoca.cz/documentation/86-j ... o-joomla-4. Then I uninstalled the two plugins and tried to reinstall them again directly in Joomla (install from web catalogue), which first failed because of the Manifest file could not be found in both cases. I solved that problem by uploading the zip files (upload packet files).

So much about the history, now the actual problem:
The settings I make under "Detail View" are not getting applied. I want to change the detail window and make the discriptions visible, but whatever changes I make, they never get applied on the gallery.

The phoca code in the article is following:
{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=142|limitstart=1|limitcount=0|detail=5|highslidedescription=2|type=1|imageordering=1|paddingmosaic=4}
(but also any other code I use with the button plugin doesn't change the problem.

So how can I make the descriptions visible and change the detail window?

Willkommen im Forum. Wir können in Deutsch weiter schreiben

a) Habe gesehen, dass Du beide themes aktiviert hast.
Also im Backend > Style bitte entweder theme_standard.css oder theme_simple.css aktivieren.
Ist unterschiedliche View in der Komponente.

b) zur Beschreibung: Habe es auf einer Testseite ausprobiert. Einstweilen aber nur in der Komponente, da Du wahrscheinlich den Eintrag im Plugin ändern wirst müssen. Außerdem gibt es im Plugin nicht mehr so viele Parameter wie früher.
Kannst ja dann ausprobieren.

c) ich sehe, dass Du Detail View "Magnific" eingeschaltet hast. Habe ich daher ausprobiert.
Folgendes ist jetzt zur Info an Jan (werde ich weiterleiten):

Detail Window: Magnific
Display Description In Detail View > Show (Standard)

Error reporting on:

d) Both: In Detail View: photo swipe = it works. Da kann ich eine zuvor eingegebene Beschreibung sehen. (Komponente).

vielen Dank für deine rasche Antwort. Ich habe nun die theme_standard.css unter "Published" deaktiviert:

Leider keine Änderung der beiden Thematiken.
Eine Änderung auf Photo Swipe (oder anderes) unter Optionen -> Detail View -> Detail Window hat keine Auswirkung, da die Einstellung zwar als gespeichert dargestellt wird, aber das aufs Frontend/den (popup-)Viewer keine Auswirkungen hat.
Muss ich vielleicht irgendeinen Cache jedes Mal leeren?

Unfortunately no change to both issues.
A change to Photo Swipe (or other) under Options -> Detail View -> Detail Window has no effect, as the setting is displayed as saved, but this has no effect on the frontend/the (popup-)viewer.
Do I perhaps have to clear a cache every time?

Ich habe im Code des Artikels direkt über den alten Code folgenden über das Button-Plugin eingefügt:
{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=141|limitstart=1|limitcount=0}
Auch das löst das Problem leider nicht.

Ja, genau. Also in der Komponente funktioniert es. Nicht mit Magnific, sondern Photo swipe - siehe oben Punkte c) & d)

Vermute daher (wie oben in Punkt b) Code im Plugin.

Viele Parameter gibt es ab J 4 nicht mehr. U.a. denke ich: highslidedescription=2
Würde es nur mit: description=1 probieren.

das mit: displaydescription=1 (war wohl früher möglich) funktioniert nicht. Hab's auch ausprobiert.
Neu ist: siehe screenshot vom Jan. Funktioniert.

Und natürlich wie ich in vorigen Posts schrieb: Photoswipe.
Wegen Detail Window: Magnific (Meldung) ist Jan informiert. Aber Du bleibst eh auf Photoswipe
