recreating thumbnails with external images

Hello,
A J3 website with Phocagallery was migrated to Joomla 4 with Phocagallery 4.5.
Some categories contain external images
That worked fine under Joomla 3
Under Joomla 4 medium thumbnails have other size than under Joomla 3.
That's why I tried to recreate thumbnails.

A message appeared saying that with external images recreation of thumbnails is not possible.
Styles Phocagallery, Rating, Theme_Simple and Default were published
Do you have any workaround ?

Hi, when recreating thumbnails, only internal thumbnails will be recreated but external images should get information about the size, etc. The program tries to find the best matched thumbnail to current size set in options. So yes, the thumbnail size can be very different. Did you try to "import" the imgur gallery (category) completely new?
