Documentation Nav -- For Article Index?

Fantastic plugin idea, thank you.

I know that the Doc. Nav. plugin works to navigate between articles, categories, and sections, but is there a way to navigate through articles set with pagebreaks? My site has many pagebreaks per article, resulting in a long Article Index that I'd love to replace with this slick plugin.
