Trouble searching Phoca downloads

Hi,

At this time I'm making a website where I want to offer free vector art. To achieve this I need a download plugin, and Phocadownload is by far the best and easiest one I've found. First I want tot thank you for that!

But making this kind of sites usefull you need a good searchfunction. I've found two searchplugins that work with Pocadownload, but there is something strange.

When I put SE friendly url's on you can search the downloads and get results, but when you want to open the results you get a 404 error.

When I put the SE friendly url's off you can't click directly on the menu to the downloads (it doesn't work), clicking on a section does work, and when I click on a result I go to the right place. Since you can't click directly on the menu and get those crappy Joomla-extra-extended-mega-large url's that Google doesn't like, this isn't really an option.

I've mailed with one of the publishers of one of the searchplugins and they have completely checked it and even published an update (thanx for that!). But they say the problem is within the Phocadownload plugin.

Please, please make the Phocadownload plugin even better by adding Phocadownloadsearch to it or please solve the thing that causes this and make the external search work.

Hi, this is not Problem of Phoca Download plugin nor of Phoca Download component. It is about Itemid in Joomla!

Itemid is produced only for menu links, but search results are not menu links so you need to fix these links witch hack... Hack will find Itemid of Phoca Download menu link and will use it for the search results so the SEO links will be created correctly...

such hacks are used e.g. in Phoca Gallery Random Image module, so every developer of plugin or module can see these hacks and use them for all other plugins and modules in Joomla!
