[Feature Request] Ordering of categories and images

Right now categories and images can only be sorted manually.

It would be great if the ordering could be controlled by parameters. In addition to sorting manually, you should have the option to sort by by date, title, hits, rating/votes, location and photographer in either ascending or descending order.

This would apply to both the backend and frontend.

Hi, in backend you can order it by many items (just click on head in the table) ... in frontend: added into a feature request list

I should have explained myself better. When I said backend, I really meant specifying the parameters in the Global Configuration and/or menu item parameters.

I'll also need a category-sorter in the admin, becouse it takes a long time to set hundreds of categories to make the newest one on top. Or, until this function is not included, I'd like to know what to change in the category options to automaticaly move the newest category to the top.

Hi, for this you should learn the Joomla! framework (but I think there is no such function for this, only the adding the item into the end of the items ... I didn't find it so followed the Joomla! standard ordering behaviour which ads the items into the front...)
