Files in \images\phocagallery

Hello

Maybe a stupid question, but. After I have uploaded files to \images\phocagallery and added them to a category, do the files have to remain in the folder \images\phocagallery?

Or are they automatically copied into the database or another folder? If so, it's ok to delete the files under \images\phocagallery?

Hi,

as far as I know Phoca is reading the pictures from that folder instead of the database. So they have to be present in that folder.

Corret me if I am wrong.

Hi, Phoca Gallery doesn't do anything with original files, only thumbnails from thes files are created and with these thumbnails will be worked... but the original files should be still there, because they are needed (e.g. while thumbnails resizing, rotatin, displaying download link to original image, etc.)
