I've a problem with the shadowbox detail view: When I click on a thumbnail, the shadowbox opens and the image is displayed correctly, but the count of images that is displayed bottom left is wrong! The value depends on the value for the pagination, e.g. if that is set to 20, the slideshow stops after 20 images, no right arrow is shown and you have to close the shadowbox, change to the next page of the category overview and then select a thumbnail again. I'm using Phoca Gallery 2.1.0RC1 together with Joomla! 1.5.7.

Hi, it is ok, shadowbox library can display only images on the site in slideshow, so only images in page (e.g. first 20) will be displayed...

So I played a little bit with the other possibilities of displaying the large image and observed some more problems. I have several galleries with more than 500 pictures which seems to lead to very long startup times (>5 sec) when the detail view is set to "Modal Popup Box". With Phoca Galery versions < 2.0, this worked fine!
When setting the detail view to "Highslide", the large picture is not displayed as an overlay, but as a full screen page. With "Highslide (Image only)", the large picture is displayed as an overlay, but the arrow keys of the keyboard don't work to step between the pictures. I've tried to find the reason for this different behavior, but I didn't get it

It would be great if you could have a look and give some feedback.

Highslide as fullimage - maybe the library is not loaded on the site, so it need to be loaded first then it can be used ...

Modal - modal only load one image, no idea why it should be slow ?

I have tested the arrows on my demo and it works for me ???

Hi all!

As I could not solve the problems I was facing with the running system, I performed a fresh installation of Joomla! 1.5.7, Phoca Gallery 2.1.0 RC and a few other components I am using for our website. With this new installation, the problems with the non correct display of detail pictures with the Highslide library were solved. So I started adding my pictures to the gallery, and the system started generating the thumbnails. At the beginning, when the gallery contained only a few pictures, the creation of the thumnails was pretty fast. But the more the number of pictures inside of Phoca Gallery increased, the more the time for each thumbnail to be created increased, too. After having added more than 2000 pictures (in several categories) to the gallery, I was not able to add 800 photos in one step via "multiple add" any more. I could select the pictures, I could select a category where they should be added, but when clicking on "Add", the current directory was displayed again with unmarked checkboxes and no thumbnails were created. So I tried to add the photos on several steps, that worked for almost 2000 pictures, but then another error occured (which was already posted here viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2036&p=10873&hilit= ... ach#p10873): When clicking in the backend on the menu item "Components" - "Phoca Gallery" - "Images", it takes about 1 minute until you get a reaction of the system and then these errors are displayed:

The database tables are existing and the table prefix is set correctly. I have no idea what is happening in that code area. Does anybody know a solution?

Hi, if you have a lot of images, you should enable the thumbnail pagination creation, see:
