Multiple Lists of Downloads

Hello!

I am a absolute Phoca Download Beginner and have some questions for my setup:

We have a lot of products with different - sometimes unique and sometimes overlap - pdf files.
Example: A pdf for all products of one group and a datasheet for only one special product.

Q1: Can I use the tagging system to show a list of all available downloads for this product? A single Category doesn't work.
Q2: Can I display a simple list of all matching downloads directly at the product site? (Like the category list view=category after the first click. )

Q1, not sure what you exactly mean with tagging system? I think if you have specific parts the best method i to add them to different categories
Q2, what "product site" you mean? Is this some article or some component part which allows displaying plugins? If yes, then per plugin you can display files from selected category

thank you for your help. I think I need to give you a little bit more details:

Q1: If I manage the download at the backend, i can assign "tags".
Q2: My product site ist an article.

I have to display our downloads at two areas on our site. At first our "normal" category-based download area:

Datasheets

• Datasheet for Product A
  Datasheet for Product B
  Datasheet for Product C

At this point - no problem.

The bigger part is, that I have to display some selected downloads of this list at an article site:

Downloads for this product

• Software B - Download (2MB)
  Datasheet for Product C - Download (240kB)

My idea was that i can use the "tags" to display the second list. Using the category list is not possible - because the other downloads don't match.
Adding this downloads by hand - via plugin and single download - is a lot of work and prone to mistakes.

Hi, hmm, this needs to be done per plugin, but I think, you need to customize it directly for your needs (displaying the files only by tags)
