Hello guys,
I have a gallery showing group members. Instead of getting a Popup when I click on one of the photos the article with the member information should be displayed in the content area. So, no popup, slideshow or whatever, just one of my articles to come up. Where can I declare this link to a photo.
Thanks for any help.
Chris

Hi, you can set "external link" e.g. to your article, see: https://www.phoca.cz/joomla-templates (demo, download).

Re: how to link photo to go to an article
Hi Jan,
thank you so much for answering.
Alone - the external link did not help.
In Firebug I still can see that the <a> tag on my image in Phocagallery is handled with an onclick to a window.open with a larger version of the image.
I declared a working link to an article in the external link section of this image, gave it a title and set the icon option to yes. But Phocagallery stills ignores this link and comes up with the Popup. To make sure my link isn't the reason I tried www.google.com - the same.
In the option the Detail View settings I tried NoPopup which did not help too.
Where do I go wrong?
Best.

Re: how to link photo to go to an article
Hi, it depends on javascript popup library how it handles the links
The links are standard but e.g. if they include "rel" parameter, javascript function of the popup method will recognize it and do the link to popup instead of stadard link. Mostly javascript popup methods use the rel attribute, so such needs to be removed.

ok - but where to remove the "rel" parameter?
There are a lot of "rel" paramteters in the .js files under com_phocagallery/assets but these are phocagallery files which might be overwritten with an update. Is there a configuration file where I could control theses parameters. I could not find anything like this in the phocagallery backend.

Hi, the rel parameter you should remove in php code (html output) not in javascript and it depends in which part you want to remove it, e.g. if in category view, then see:
components/com_phocagallery/views/category/tmpl/default_images.php (default.php), etc.

Hey Jan,
I want to have a link to an article for each image in a category view.
You can see the category view here: pbn [dot] neis-friends [dot] com
I've checked the PHPs - there is no rel paramter I could remove - at least I did not find one.
Maybe it helps to show the code I have in the article where I call the category view:
Thanks for your effort.

Re: how to link photo to go to an article
Hi, there are different views: Category view and plugin?
If you are using plugin, you need to see the plugin code:
plugins/phocagallery/phocagallery.php
