Category view pagination

Post by Chriss1981 »

I've used Phoca since I know and I think this is far the best gallery comp for joomla, but yesterday I've found a little problem with it.
Actually I don't have navigation bar at the bottom of the page and the "number to show" box doesn't seem to be working either in category view. There are many subcategorys there and I think this should be the problem.
Any solution for this?
Thx

Hi,

Depending on which version you're using you can set pagination to on in the Basic Parameters (v1.x) or the component parameters (v2.x). If you set this in your menu item, it must be displayed.

Thank you for the quick response.
All of them are turned on. I can see the display select, but it's not filtering to the number I set to, untill there are only subfolders int he the category. If there are images but no folders in the category (eg. I step into the deepest subcat.), then works as intended.

hello...

im having a similar problem, (dont really know if it is the same problem)

my problem is that in my category view, the pagination in global parameters and in the menu setup, are set to only show 5 galleries, but somehow it doesnt work.. it keeps showing them all, and it goes too far down on the website.

you can see it here http://www.kneando.com/index.php?option ... s&Itemid=4

i would like to show only groups of 5 galleries in the category list, and then be able to turn to next page...

am i doing something wrong?

thanks

Hi, there is no pagination for galleries list (categories list) but only for images list :-( ... but you can create link to some parent category of all your categories and this parent category will work as "categories list" (subcategories will work as categories) and then the pagination will work for categories too...

uhmm im sorry to bother again
but i have a problem...
i did what you indicated, putting all my galleries into a parent directory called october'08
now it is simplified because on the category view i can only see october, wich is good..
but when i go inside, i see a lot of folders, and i would like to see the same format as i see in the category view... is this posible?
because when the owners of the images go inside to find theirs, they will not know in what gallery it is, because all they can see is folders.

please help!
